Gunners ponder pursuit of young midfield ace.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is said to be considering a move for highly-rated Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir, according to the Metro.
Reports in France have suggested that Wenger has been keeping a close watch on the 21-year-old’s development this season and has been impressed by what he’s seen.
Fekir has bagged six goals in 12 Ligue 1 games this term, which has resulted in the Gunners making contact in order to try and strike up a potential deal for next summer.
However, it is believed that Lyon, who currently sit third in the French league table, do not want to part with the player, especially someone so in form.
Despite their reluctance to sell, though, a deal of more than £8m could prove to be enough to prize him away from the Stade Gerland.
Fekir, a native of Lyon, made his debut for the France under-21 side earlier this year, and is being tipped for a bright future in the game.
