Tim Howard reveals Fergie hairdryer treatment
Tim Howard has given a glimpse of what the famed hairdryer treatment by Sir Alex Ferguson actually involves.
In his forthcoming memoir ‘The Keeper’, Howard recalls Ferguson’s reaction to him conceding from a Thierry Henry free-kick in the 2003 Community Shield against Arsenal.
In extracts quoted in the Daily Mirror, Howard writes: “At halftime, Ferguson just about took my head off…”If you cannae handle the f*****g stage’ – his Scottish accent was coming through loud and clear – “I’ll send you right back to the MLS.”
