Gunners on alert for Bernabeu attacker.
Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as the club look ready to let him go, according to the Daily Express.
The French international is also a target for Liverpool and Manchester United, but it may be that Arsene Wenger will now make an offer to improve his options upfront after an uncertain start by Danny Welbeck at the Emirates Stadium this term.
It seems that Benzema could be sold to make way for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, who is an ambitiousb target for the Spanish giants as they plot an overhaul of their attack next season.
Benzema has been in fine form for Real this season, but has long been regarded as something of an inconsistent performer who impresses in fits and bursts, though he would no doubt be welcome at a number of top European clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco could also rival the likes of Arsenal in their efforts to bring him to the Premier League.
