Anfield veteran has shown a marked improvement in his form in recent weeks.
Veteran defender Kolo Toure believes his Liverpool side have what it takes to secure a top four finish this season according t the Daily Mail.
The Ivory Coast international believes his Anfield outfit can build on recent improved results and secure that all important Champions League berth, the 33 year old stating;
‘We knew it was going to be a tough game. They defend very well, they showed that against Chelsea (earning a goalless draw last weekend),’
‘At the end we have one point, which is hard to take but this league is tough and every team fights – Newcastle won against Chelsea which shows this league is really difficult.
‘It is better but last season we did much better than that. We have had a difficult start but we are catching up slowly and surely. There is more work to do, definitely.
The former Arsenal and Man City man has shown a marked improvement in his game since forcing his way back into Brendan Rodgers’ first team set-up, with Liverpool conceding just one goal in the three Premier League games he has started this term.
