Reports in the Polish press describe the youngster as ‘the new Patrick Vieira’, and claim Arsenal will move for the player in the January transfer window – with a potential deal expected to cost around £2m.
The 6ft2 holding player made his senior debut for his club side earlier this year, and has also been capped at youth level by his country. He is renowned for being a creative player who can start-off attacks from his own half, while he is also extremely advanced technically.
Current midfielder Mikel Arteta has struggled with fitness issues this season, while his understudy Mathieu Flamini has often had to be deployed as part of the back four to cope with the club’s lengthy list of injuries.
Bielik is unlikely to be ready for the first-team at this stage of his career, but the source believes Arsenal would still jump at the chance to sign one of Europe’s brightest prospects.
