The Gunners are big admirers of the Croatian international, and look to be moving closer to bringing him to the Emirates Stadium this winter, though a fee is yet to be finalised with the player’s current club.

Arsenal will have to up their offer, but seem likely to do so after being granted permission to speak with the 22-year-old, who is also attracting interest from Serie A side Inter Milan.

Rated as one of the most promising young midfielders in Europe, Brozovic could be a useful addition for Arsene Wenger’s side this season, with the north Londoners short of quality options in the middle of the park, particularly with the likes of Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey out injured at the moment.

Brozovic has seven caps for Croatia and one goal, and has been ever-present for Dinamo Zagreb since joining the club in 2012.
