Spanish giants join chase for Tottenham’s best player.
Real Madrid are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who has also previously been linked with a £25m move to Manchester United.
Spanish source Fichajes.net claims that the French shot stopper is the club’s top target for the moment, though a previous exclusive from the Daily Star reported that United wanted Lloris to replace David de Gea if he made the move to the Bernabeu.
It seems clear that Real want to sign a new goalkeeper to replace the long-serving Iker Casillas, who looks somewhat past his best form after a glittering career with the club.
It would certainly take a big-name signing to replace the Spanish veteran, and Lloris’ fine form in the Premier League has earned him the reputation for being one of the best goalkeepers in Europe at the moment.
If Real do move for Lloris, it could be good news for United in their bid to keep star player de Gea at Old Trafford.
