The 31 year old left north London for Istanbul in 2011 but is set to leave for pastures new with QPR, Burnley and Leicester among those who could move for Ivory Coast international.
Eboue had a chequered Gunners career but there is no doubt that on his day he is still capable of making an impact and is clearly not a player who would cost a vast sum to sign.
The addition of an experienced campaigner likes Eboue could aid any of this trio of relegation battlers to avoid the drop.
Prior to moving to Turkey Eboue made 214 appearances for Arsenal.
