Upton Park boss admits Emirates Stadium target is set to leave.
Arsenal are readying a £4m bid for West Ham centre-back Winston Reid after his Upton Park boss admitted the New Zealand international is likely to leave the club according to the Daily Mail.
The 26 year old’s Hammers contract expires in the summer and as such the Gunners may hope that a £4m offer would tempt the East London side into cashing in on the in-form defender.
Reid initially struggled to impress when he first moved to West Ham in August 2010 but has been in superb form over the past year and is said to a player who also interests Liverpool and Man United.
Arsene Wenger has been short of central defensive options this term with Laurent Koscielny suffering with injuries and having sold Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona without ably replacing the Belgian hasn’t helped matters.
The Arsenal boss has been forced to use Nacho Monreal and Mathieu Debuchy in makeshift roles at times this term.
