Campbell’s Arsenal career got off to an unfortunate start; after signing in 2011 it wasn’t until 2013 that the Costa Rican international received his work permit to work in England. However, after impressing on loan with Olympiacos last season, particularly shining against Manchester United in the last 16 of the Champions League, and blossoming further in the World Cup, Campbell has caught the eye.

Wenger has repeatedly expressed his desire for the young striker to remain with the North London side, yet the 22 year old’s opportunities have been limited this season. With the Arsenal manager keen for Campbell to remain with the Gunners, a loan move once more appears the best option for the Costa Rican international to gain regular first team football.

Real Sociedad are showing interest in signing the frustrated forward, and it seems Joel Campbell is set to follow Lukas Podolski with a loan move away from the Emirates Stadium.
