Arsenal See £2m Bid For Krystian Bielik Rejected By Legia Warsaw

Talks ongoing for teenage starlet.

Arsenal have had a £2m move for teenage midfielder Krystian Bielik knocked back by Polish giants Legia Warsaw, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Arsenal are readying to ‘step-up’ their pursuit of Real Madrid player Isco according to the Daily Express.

It is the second bid that Arsenal have made and talks remain ongoing between the two clubs over a player who only turned 17 on Sunday but has already broken into the Legia Warsaw first team.

Bielik penned a deal with Legia last season when he joined from fellow Polish big guns Lech Poznan for a fee of just £9,500, and is currently under contract until 2017.

Regarded as one of the next big things in centre midfield, the teenager already stands at 6’2 and possesses a frightening physical presence for somebody his age. Many believe he will develop into a strong holding midfielder – a position that has been particularly problematic for Arsenal recently.

Wenger is said to be keen to secure his services for the future, rather than have him make a contribution to the first team immediately, and is therefore still interested in bringing in a more senior figure at some point in January.
