The Parc des Princes side have been in talks with Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, with a proposal to sign the Italian on a loan deal ahead of a potential permanent switch.
Blanc will push on with his efforts if he in turn can find a buyer for Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, with the former Napoli man having seemingly fallen out with the PSG boss.
Balotelli has failed to score in 11 Premier League appearances this term and hasn’t started a game since November 1st but unless Rodgers were to sign a striker, or manage to speed up his capture of Belgian Divock Origi, it seems highly unlikely Liverpool would consider offers for the former AC Milan man.
Liverpool have struggled for goals this season with Rickie Lambert not being much more of a success than his fellow summer signing and Brendan Rodgers would do well to bring in a fresh effective goal-scoring option this month to help his side’s push for a Champions League berth.
