Spurs boss Pochettino plans major January clearout.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to offload as many as six first-team players in the January transfer window as he plots a major overhaul of his squad.
The north London side have had a mixed campaign so far, with signs of promise often then followed by disappointing results against the lesser sides – none more so than their defeat to Crystal Palace this weekend to follow on from a shock 5-3 win over Premier League leaders Chelsea.
It seems clear that a number of changes are needed at White Hart Lane, with many unused squad players taking up space on the wage bill and not contributing enough to the team overall.
Reports now suggest that these six big names are set for the axe this month:
1) Emmanuel Adebayor
The former Arsenal man, Emmanuel Adebayor has fallen out of favour at Tottenham this season and the club now hope to shift him as soon as possible to make way for better signings upfront.
