The Dutchman is up for the Puskas award for the best goal of the year, and is rivalled by Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez and women’s footballer Stephanie Roche. Morgan tipped Roche to beat the 31-year-old to the prize, which would make her the first woman to take the award.
The 49-year-old also thinks that Cristiano Ronaldo will win the main award of the Ballon d’Or at the ceremony in Zurich. The Real Madrid ace is up against Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer to be named the best player in the world for 2014. The Portuguese is the favourite, while his Argentine rival and four time former winner is fighting to not finish outside the top two for the first time since 2008.
