The 20-year-old would cost the Manchester club a stunning £30m with PSG eager to recoup the £30m they originally paid Roma in the summer of 2013.

The Brazilian, however, has failed to secure regular football under PSG boss Lauren Blanc with David Luiz and Thiago Silva favoured in the starting line-up – and the young defender could be eyeing a January move away from the Ligue 1 side.

He has consistently been regarded as one of the best young defenders in the world since his emergence in Italy, and United, given their recent spending, would seemingly have no qualms of meeting the player’s valuation.
