Wenger ready to part with £15m for the highly-rated defender
Arsenal look set to complete a deal for Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista with Arsene Wenger revealing in his pre-match press conference, ahead of the FA Cup trip to Brighton, that the club are ready to part with £15m for a “good player”.

The deal had become complicated through work-permit issues; the Brazilian doesn’t own a European Union passport nor has he represented his country which doesn’t entitle to the defender to an automatic work-permit.
Nevertheless, Wenger seems intent on acquiring the services of the 22-year-old even with the above concerns.
