The Gunners summer signing is all but ruled out of this week’s North London Derby despite Arsene Wenger indicating in his pre-match press conference today that the Chilean still believing he could be fit.

Wenger has said the issue is only minor and Arsenal’s incredible summer signing could return for next week’s round of fixtures.

However, reports in the striker’s home country of Chile state that Sanchez’s representatives fear he could be out for a further four weeks.

La Tercera claim that his agent Fernando Felicevich travelled to London to aid Sanchez as initial minor injury may now have developed into a full hamstring tear which would keep him on the sidelines for a month.

Sanchez has played the most for his club this term being present in 87% of their matches and accumulating 2580 minutes on the field.

But Arsenal fans may not see him again for the Gunners until March if this latest information turns out to be accurate.
