Tottenham Player Ratings From Plucky But Lucky 2-2 Draw With West Ham: Danny Rose Decent, Erik Lamela Useless

Posted by

Erik Lamela – 3.5/10

Who!? Lamela was anonymous for most of his 90-minute shift. When he did get into the game, he tried too many crafty flicks and tricks. Creativity is great, but Lamela is not creative – he just plays with lots of flair. Instead of playing a simple sideways pass, he will attempt a flashy back-heel to the same player. All the risk, but without the chance of reward. Pointless.

Mousa Dembele – 6/10

West Ham’s defenders struggled to cope with Dembele at times in the first half. However, he was surprisingly subbed at the interval to make way for Christian Eriksen. Why Lamela wasn’t hooked, only Pochettino knows!

Andros Townsend – 5.5/10

He troubled the Hammers with his pace and direct dribbling in the early stages, but once Sam Allardyce’s men has worked him out, he offered nothing. Replaced by Roberto Soldado just before the hour.

Harry Kane – 7.5/10

Not as many fireworks as we have become accustomed to from Kane, but he was still Tottenham’s best player. His penalty miss/rebound was very lucky, but he won the spot-kick like an experienced pro.
