The Gunners are favourites for the knockout clash..
Arsenal play Monaco in the Champions League last-16 on Wednesday night and one of the French side’s most experienced players has been speaking ahead of the tie.
Jeremy Toulalan has been around some of Europe’s top leagues and is a seasoned French international; the midfielder is away of Arsenal’s qualities.
Monaco finished top of their group and therefore have the luxury of having the second leg at home, and Toulalan is away that an away goal is crucial.
“We will never play a defensive system – that would be a disaster, because to let Arsenal have the ball in London would mean suffering too many attacks in our area for 90 minutes, ” He said (via Mirror Football).
As for the Gunners’ danger-men, one player is familiar to Toulalan having played together at Malaga for a season.
“Arsenal’s biggest danger is their creative line. I know Santi Cazorla from our time at Malaga together, and our priority is to make sure he cannot move the ball easily.
“Giroud in the area will make life complicated for Monaco, but we have worked on this match for some time and we are prepared for the battle. This tie will be resolved in Monaco.”
For Arsenal, the key will be to win the game and keep a clean sheet and with their attacking potential, they will surely fancy their chances scoring a goal away from home.
