Man United Boss And David De Gea ‘Haven’t Spoken For Months’
It had been thought that De Gea, who has just eighteen months left to run on his current deal, was set to sign a new contract at Old Trafford, but the widely-speculated breakdown of the relationship between the Spaniard and manager Louis van Gaal may yet lead to his departure from the club.
De Gea has apparently not spoken to the Dutchman for months, despite playing in the first team continually under van Gaal.
He has reportedly asked his agent to step in and put plans in place for a transfer to Champions League holders Real Madrid in the summer.
The move would be a massive blow for United, as De Gea has arguably been one of the few bright spots from, what has otherwise been, an uninspiring season. He has been forced to keep his side in plenty of games, and has seemingly finally won over his critics, who questioned his abilities when he first joined the club from Real’s city rivals, Atletico in 2011.
