Despite scoring four goals against Racing Club de Lens, the Paris Saint-Germain coach wants to see his strikers convert more of their chances.
Paris Saint-Germain cruised to victory against Lens on Saturday, putting four past the relegation strugglers as they moved to the top of the Ligue 1 table.
David Luiz fired the capital club into the lead just before the break with a free-kick, before Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Blaise Matuidi and Javier Pastore completed the rout in the second-half.
A strike from Lens’s Yoann Touzghar on 68 minutes could do little to dampen the celebrations around the Parc des Princes.
However, despite PSG’s 4-1 triumph, coach Laurent Blanc wasn’t completely happy with their performance.
“The score is very good, no injuries, so today’s is a good evening,” he began, speaking to the club’s official website.
” We picked up all three points. We created a lot of chances, we played some good football, but we need to convert a higher percentage in four days’ time. It’s pretty obvious… we won’t have as many chances to score as we did tonight.”
Next up, Paris face Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, looking to advance to the quarter-finals after a 1-1 draw in the first leg in France.
