Writing on Twitter, the Algeria playmaker has credited the Corsicans’ supporters for their victory over their Southern rivals on Saturday
SC Bastia playmaker Ryad Boudebouz has thanked the club’s fans for helping to inspire the team to victory over OGC Nice in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Goals from Guillaume Gillet and Giovanni Sio helped the islanders to a 2-1 triumph over their Southern rivals on Saturday, a result which saw them move up to ninth in the Ligue 1 table.
Boudebouz was influential in the contest, delivering a majestic, measured and ultimately effective performance which drove his teammates on.
However, writing on Twitter, Boudebouz has credited the team’s famously passionate fans for being the difference between the two teams.

“Beautiful victory in the derby last night,” he began, “we’re getting closer-little by little-to keeping it up.
“Thanks to the supporters who were there and who pushed us without going over the line. Thanks to all of you!”
The playmaker arrived in Corsica in 2013 and has begun to suggest that he is rediscovering the form that made him such a sought-after youngster at Sochaux.
