It has been a mixed week for PSG. While they lifted the Coupe de la Ligue after beating SC Bastia 4-0 in midweek at the Stade de France, they were outclassed by Barcelona in the Champions League.
It would take a major effort for Laurent Blanc’s side to overcome the 3-1 deficit they carry from the home leg in the Parc des Princes, and the crushing defeat may take some time to get out of the team’s system.
The coach has admitted that some of the team’s focus will likely be on next week’s second leg against Barcelona, making the fixture with Nice a tricky one to plan for.
Expect PSG to shuffle their options, although they will be without a quartet of key performers in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marco Verratti, Thiago Motta and skipper Thiago Silva.
David Luiz has been included in the matchday squad, despite not being fully fit, a sign of Paris’s surprising paucity of options.
