The centre-back is delighted that Laurent Blanc’s side did not pick up any more injuries during their weekend Ligue 1 victory over Racing Club de Lens.
Zoumana Camara has expressed his delight that Paris Saint-Germain overcame Racing Club de Lens in their latest Ligue 1 fixture without receiving any more injuries, particularly with Chelsea on the horizon.
PSG are already in London ahead of their Champions League Last 16 second-leg battle with Jose Mourinho’s Pensioners at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. The French champions managed a 1-1 draw at the Parc des Princes in the first leg and after thrashing Lens are filled with confidence ahead of this tough encounter.
“We absolutely needed to win and we did,” said former Leeds United man Camara, looking back at the victory over Lens in an interview with PSG TV.
“We created a lot of chances, like in our recent matches, but we scored four. It was a great win and we didn’t pick up any niggles, so it was a good night.
“We needed to give it everything and we got the three points, so now we can concentrate on Wednesday’s game against Chelsea.”
While Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura will not be present, PSG can call upon Yohan Cabaye, who has returned to fitness following a spell on the sidelines.
