The 24-year-old has been in fine form in La Liga this season, and could be knocking on the door of the Spanish national team after failing to earn a senior call-up so far.

Still, Liverpool are suitably impressed by the £7m-rated defender and could move for him ahead of next season as they look more than likely to lose Johnson at the end of this campaign.

The England international is out of contract at Anfield in the summer and seemingly looking for a new challenge abroad.
