Manchester City will KEEP Manuel Pellegrini for now, as they wait on top target
Guardiola has been linked with the managerial hot-seat at the Etihad Stadium since 2012, and City are prepared to step up their interest and compete with his colossal £20m per-year contract with the Bundesliga giants to secure his services.
Having had their Champions League hopes destroyed – once again – for another season, and facing the reality of ending the campaign without any silverware, the Citizens have grown impatient with Pellegrini – despite him winning the Premier League and League Cup in his first season.
There are 12 months remaining on the Spaniard’s current deal at the Allianz Arena, and his reluctance to sign an extension could see the Premier League champions pounce.
