Italy and Udinese legend Antonio Di Natale has revealed that Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is the best player he has ever played alongside, reports the Daily Express.
The 37-year-old thinks that the Chilean is so good because of his willingness to help those alongside him. Sanchez has 20 goals in his first season with the Gunners, and has created another nine for his teammates. The pair played alongside each other back in 2009, and bagged 41 goals between themselves in the campaign.
He said: “Stop. I know what you are going to ask. And the answer is ‘Yes he’s the best partner I had in my life’. Like you say, I’ve played with a lot of champions, but he is the best; and he’s proven it by performing for enormous clubs such as Barcelona and Arsenal.”
He also added later: “The thing that has allowed him to become one of the greatest players around today: he combines individual quality with a willingness for collective sacrifice.”
Fans of the North London club have taken well to the forward’s running and all round effort since he arrived in the summer for around £35 million, as the BBC reported at the time. With the team in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, the 26-year-old could also be hoping for some silverware in his first season with Arsenal.
