Malouda was one of the weekend’s star men, and opened the scoring for Les Grenats against Racing Club de Lens with a delightful volley in their ‘Battle of the no-hopers’ at the foot of the Ligue 1 table.

Metz may have won that match 3-1, but they still remain in peril—sitting 19th in the French top flight, eight points from safety.

From second from bottom to second from the top, where Paris Saint-Germain have a game in hand on league leaguers Olympique Lyonnais.

PSG were impressive again at the weekend—beating OGC Nice 3-1 away.

Real Madrid target Pastore—recently named as the best player in the world by Eric Cantona—scored twice, while left-back Lucas Digne was also excellent, and finds himself in the Team of the Week.

Vincent Enyeama of LOSC Lille and Nigeria earned his spot after helping Les Dogues to a 2-0 home victory over Girondins de Bordeaux on Sunday, with one exceptional save.

The defence is completed by Christophe Jallet, Hilton and Papy Djilobodji.

Maxime Gonalons of Lyon completes the midfield, while AS Monaco’s Bernardo Silva is joined by Serge Gakpe and Sofiane Boufal in attack.
