It took PSG only 25 seconds to open the scoring against LOSC Lille.

Laurent Blanc’s side played it back into defence from the kick off, keeping possession and drawing Les Dogues towards them.

David Luiz played the ball down the left, Ezequiel Lavezzi then drove through the middle before laying it out wide for Serge Aurier. His cross passed Cavani by, but Maxwell, arriving from deep, to fire past Vincent Enyeama.

The goal set the tone for a crushing first-half performance.

By half-time, PSG were 4-0 up, with a fine chip from Edinson Cavani and an excellent brace from Ezequiel Lavezzi surely wrapping up the victory inside the first 45 minutes.

The one negative for Blanc and his rampant Parisians was the injury trouble that affected his side during the first half. Both keeper Salvatore Sirigu and Serge Aurier had to be replaced with Nicolas Douchez and Gregory van der Wiel—a costly three points, perhaps.
