Revealed: Man United’s blocked £32m bid for PSG star, instead went for Falcao

PSG secured a magnificent 6-1 triumph over LOSC Lille at the weekend—a sign of their class, but also of their immense offensive threat.

Arguably most impressive was the way that they coped without star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

In the forward’s absence, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani—both earmarked for a move away from the Parc des Princes this summer—took the opportunity to shine, with the former bagging and hat-trick and the second scoring twice.

Both will have the opportunity to star again, with Zlatan again suspended.

Either alongside them—on the right of the forward line—or at the pinnacle of the midfield, Javier Pastore will again have the chance to demonstrate why Real Madrid have been linked with his signature.

Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti will likely occupy the three midfield berths, although Adrien Rabiot could be given a start should Laurent Blanc rotate.

In defence, the capital club will be without the injured Salvatore Sirigu and Serge Aurier, meaning Nicolas Douchez and Gregory van der Wiel will start in goal and at right-back respectively.

Thiago Silva has returned to training following injury, so Blanc will be able to choose two from the skipper, David Luiz and Marquinhos.
At left-back, Lucas Digne may be given the chance to impress ahead of first-choice Maxwell.
