The German’s future is uncertain beyond this season, as Inter are unlikely to make the loan spell permanent, while Arsene Wenger has been unconvinced by the forward since signing him in April 2012.

Nonetheless, the 29-year-old, according to Roberto Mancini, is eager to return to North London in the summer, and be a part of the Arsenal squad next season (via the Daily Mail).
