The Gunners are among the main contenders to land the Czech Republic international, who has fallen out of favour in Jose Mourinho’s side this season after youngster Thibaut Courtois was promoted to the club’s number one.

It is thought that Chelsea would not block Cech from making the controversial move to their Premier League rivals, though the champions would also unsurprisingly rather he were sold abroad.

According to the Daily Mail, Cech could have two offers from Italy as Roma and Inter show a strong interest in the 32-year-old’s services ahead of the next transfer window.

Both sides are in need of strengthening in goal, while Arsenal could also do with an upgrade on Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina at the Emirates Stadium next term.
