Liverpool star Jose Enrique and Lucas Leiva have inadvertently admitted that they believe Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is the best in the world.
The pair were playing a game where the Brazilian had to guess what had been written on a piece of paper through clues given by his teammate. Enrique said: “It’s the best manager in the world,” and the midfielder immediately guessed that it was Mourinho.
This will be a kick in the teeth for Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, but even the Northern Irishman may understand his players’ view. The Stamford Bridge boss won the Premier League last Sunday with three games to spare, completing a double that started with the Capital One Cup in February.
It is the third time that the 53-year-old has won the English top flight, and he has also won domestic leagues in Portugal, Spain, and Italy. The Portuguese has also lifted the Champions League trophy with Porto and Inter Milan over the last 15 years.
