Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has told Arsene Wenger that he should be looking to making an offer for a Liverpool centre-back in the summer transfer window.
The 51-year-old believes that Martin Skrtel deserves to be playing in the Champions League and should be wearing the shirt of a top four club in the Premier League.

The Slovakia international has been one of the most reliable performers in the Liverpool side over the past few seasons, and Wright reckons his talent should be utilised at a club of a higher standard than Brendan Rodgers’ side.
He wrote on BreatheSport, ‘Surely someone from the top four should go and get Skrtel! Would love him to go to Arsenal,’ as quoted by the Metro.
However, despite the plea of Arsenal’s second highest ever goalscorer, Skrtel is rumoured to be close to signing a new deal with the Reds.
What’s more, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said before the clash with Hull City on Monday evening (in quotes by the Daily Express) that he has no intention of bolstering his options in central-defence, as he is happy with the players currently in the position at the Emirates.
