Thomas Muller has given Bayern Munich the lead at the Allianz Arena, as the German giants must now be testing the nerves of Barcelona, who have just over 15 minutes to pull off a sensational fightback.
Despite Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar having been in typically fine form, the Barca defence, on the other hand, has been shocking all evening – giving keeper Ter Stegen far too much goal. The stopper has been excellent all night, and should slam his defence for the three goals they have conceded.
Bastian Schweinsteiger laid the ball off to Muller on the edge of the box – who calmly picked his spot and delivered a curling shot into the far corner.
It’s the German’s seventh goal in the Champions League this season.
Three more goals needed from the Bavarians. Could Pep Guardiola really upset his former side?
