Dani Alves has taken to social media and revealed his decision to snub a move to the Barclays Premier League and sign a new deal with Barcelona.

News of the Brazilian defender agreeing a new two-year contract with the La Liga giants was announced the via the club’s official Twitter account on Tuesday morning.

The 32-year-old, whose previous deal was set to expire at the end of the month, has now ended speculation with a move to Manchester United on a free transfer and is likely to end his career with the newly-crowned champions of Europe.
Alves’ new deal has an option of a further which will take him up to the age of 35, should he remain with the La Liga and Copa Del Rey holders until 2017.
Despite a emotional message from team-mate Neymar and the addition of Sevilla right-back Aleix Vidal other the weekend, Alves has committed his future to the Catalan outfit and revealed he followed his heart in two video messages posted on his official Instagram account.
