In a recent interview with the newspaper Aftonbladet, Zlatan Ibrahimovic decided to give some advice to the Real Madrid player after a friendly between Norway and Sweden that ended 0-0. “He has a father who controls him completely. First he must grow up and become a man, and get rid of his father,” said Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish star also had words of praise for the Norwegian 16 year old, who has mostly played with Real Madrid B since signing with the club in January. “He was okay, played simple and did not lose a lot of balls” he said. He added that he still has plenty of time to improve and that he was happy he was now playing with the full senior national side.

Ibrahimovic was also asked if Real Madrid was the right club for Odegaard, after he was tracked by several others including Barcelona, Liverpool and Bayern Munich – but responsded in typical Zlatan fashion, simply saying “We’ll see.”
