AC Milan are interested in signing Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado and are willing to pay £14 million in order to do so according to the Daily Express.
This is despite Blues boss Jose Mourinho claiming that he has no interest in selling the 27-year-old. The winger has struggled to make an impact since arriving at Stamford Bridge last January. Since then he has Since then he has played fourteen times in all competitions, but not managed to score or create a single goal.
The Portuguese said: “Cuadrado is not going anywhere this summer. People don’t know Cuadrado yet, I have seen him many times when we were both in Italy, me at Inter and him at Udinese.
“Because of that I have a lot of hopes for him for next season. I hope in the Copa America he can regain his self-esteem, his ego and that he has that joy of playing.”
As well as convince the 53-year-old to sell, the Rossoneri may have to fight off interest from San Siro rivals Inter Milan in order to get their man. The Nerazzurri have been linked to the Colombia international according to the Express, but it is unknown if they are willing to compete with their local rivals in order to get the wide man.
With Cuadrado currently at the Copa America with Colombia it is unknown if any deal can be completed while he is at the tournament in Chile. Also, if he plays well it could make the Blues even keener than they already are to keep hold of the player they paid £27 million for.
