The Old Trafford side will look to fund moves in the transfer moves with cash made from the sales of players so as to better adhere to UEFA FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines, with van Gaal having already brought in young attacker Memphis Depay in a £25m deal earlier this summer.

Van Gaal has resigned himself to losing Spaniard De Gea, with a move to Real Madrid on the cards, and has identified White Hart Lane keeper Lloris as the ideal replacement.

Though van Gaal has taken an interest in Ajax’s Jasper Cillessen the Man United manager feels that Lloris’s Premier League experience makes him a safer bet and comments made by the French international with regards to his Champions League ambitions suggest a move to sign the Spurs goalkeeper could prove successful.

Van Gaal is also known to be an admirer of young England striker Kane and his Man United side will offer £55m for the pair, a bid that would serve as proof of their interest, with the experienced manager hoping this could then lead to the two players pushing for summer exits.

Kane may prove a tougher nut to crack than Lloris, the 21-year-old having only signed a new long term contract with the North London club back in February.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be wary of Man United’s interest given that he has seen the likes of Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov snapped up by the club in the not too distant past.

Van Gaal is hoping to find a buyer for Argentine international di Maria with the former Real Madrid man having struggled for form in his debut season in England.

The Man United man has not settled well since his move though efforts to sell the player will greatly depend on just how much of the £59.7m outlay the club will look to recoup.

PSG and Bayern Munich have both been linked with a move for the 27 year old but both European giants will be well aware of the predicament Man United find themselves in, and may therefore look to take advantage by offering a fee way below that paid by the Premier League side.

Van Gaal is also looking to bring in a centre-back and a central midfielder during an extensive summer spending spree, with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger known to be targets (Via BBC Sport).
