The Brazilian full-back has not been able to force his way past Jordi Alba in the battle to become the first choice left-back at the Camp Nou and is set to depart the club in the summer in a bid for regular football.

Express Sport say that Adriano is attracting interest from Serie A outfit Inter Milan as well as the Reds according to the player’s agent Paulo Affonso:

“Adriano is a well-known and well-rated player. People know him and know what he can bring to a team. For now, we are only talking with important teams and doing our work,” he added.

The Reds are also interested in Adriano’s team-mate Pedro, if reports in Mundo Deportivo are to be believed, and it appears that manager Brendan Rodgers is firmly focused on building a squad capable of challenging for Champions League qualification next season, with Pedro and Adriano sure to make fine additions to those that have already been brought in.

The Anfield outfit have been extremely busy in the transfer window so far as they have signed no less than five players and should complete a deal for a sixth early next week.
