Liverpool and Arsenal have been handed a big boost in their pursuit of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer as the Argentine demands an exit from his current club.

The former Real Madrid man is unhappy with the Italian club after they missed out on Champions League qualification for next season, and is now ordering his agent to get him a move away.

Liverpool’s own lack of Champions League football could work against them, but Arsenal will be hoping to land this long-term target as the Metro claims he is pushing through a move away.

Higuain, 27, scored 29 goals in all competitions last season and could certainly make a fine addition for a number of top Premier League sides.
