Leicester City line-up bid for exit bound Liverpool veteran

Leicester City are reportedly keen on signing Liverpool forward Rickie Lambert according to the Sunday Mirror.

The 33-year-old endured a tough debut season at Anfield, netting just two Premier League goals in 2014/15, and the arrivals of Danny Ings and Christian Benteke would appear to spell the end of the England international’s career on Meryeyside.

West Brom had been leading the chase for the former Southampton man but now new Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri is looking to lure the veteran to the King Power Stadium.

Prior to his move to Liverpool the experienced forward was a prolific marksman, netting 117 goals in five seasons at St Mary’s, and a move this summer could help to reinvigorate Rickie Lambert’s flagging career.
