Pep Guardiola agrees deal to become Man City manager next season

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has agreed to take over at Man City next summer according to BeInSports (via the Metro).

Similar stories circulated towards the end of the 2014/15 campaign and one wonders just how valid these latest reports could be.

Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has enjoyed a successful time of it since taking charge of Bayern Munich, winning back to back Bundesliga titles in his two seasons in charge of the Bavarian giants, and has just a year to run on his current contract.

Etihad Stadium boss Manuel Pellegrini saw his side meekly surrender their Premier League title to Chelsea in 2014/15 and as such it would perhaps not be a huge surprise if the Chilean was moved aside to make room for Pep Guardiola.

Prior to his spell at Bayern Munich the 44-year-old Spaniard enjoyed a brief spell away from the game following his hugely successful four year stint at the Barcelona helm.
