Liverpool striker given 48 hours to agree Serie A switch

Fiorentina have told Fabio Borini he has 48 hours to agree a move to Stadio Artemio Franchi according to Tutto Mercato.

The 24-year-old Italian international is certainly surplus to requirements at Liverpool following the arrivals of Danny Ings, Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino and Borini would do well to take advantage of this Serie A exit plan.

Borini has struggled for form over the course of his time at Liverpool, managing just three goals in 38 appearances, though the former AS Roma man did enjoy a successful spell on loan at Sunderland which suggested the lively forward does have what it takes to make a success of it in the English top tier.

Brendan Rodgers brought in Borini as his first signing as Liverpool boss back in the summer of 2012, costing the Merseyside outfit £10.5m, and it’s likely that should the attacker be sold then he is likely to leave for a far lesser fee.
