Bid accepted: Manchester United close to finalising £30m transfer of world superstar

United to finalise long-awaited deal.

Manchester United look close to finally agreeing the sale of David de Gea to Real Madrid, with rumours that a £30m bid is set to be accepted by the club.

The Spanish internationa has been left out of Louis van Gaal’s side for their first five games of the season, and is known to want the move to the Bernabeu.

Although there have previously been disagreements over his fee, the Metro now claims he could be close to moving to the Spanish capital as Tuesday’s transfer deadline approaches.

United already have new signing Sergio Romero as a replacement for De Gea in goal, though there has been speculation that they could sign another ‘keeper, such as Hugo Lloris or Jasper Cillessen.
