Manchester United were reportedly willing to pay £50m to sign Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus this summer, but no higher, according to latest reports.

On deadline day it emerged that the Red Devils had snubbed the chance to pay Dortmund’s £60m asking price for the German international, but they still offered a substantial amount.

The Manchester Evening News claims that £50m was United’s final offer for Reus, whose name come up in negotiations for the loan of Adnan Januzaj.
