Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has said that Arsenal star Petr Cech is the best goalkeeper he has ever worked with, according to the Metro.
Cech departed Chelsea to join The Gunners over the summer after losing his place in the side to Thibaut Courtois, and has excelled himself since joining Arsene Wenger’s men.
And despite the Belgian’s rise to prominence as Chelsea’s number one, Ivanovic still believes that he’s not at the level set by his veteran predecessor.
“For me he is a pillar and icon of Chelsea, in my opinion the best goalkeeper with whom I worked,” he is quoted as saying by Serbian publication Novosti.
Chelsea’s current first choice, Courtois, is still on the sidelines recovering from an injury that has ruled him out for the majority of the season, leaving Asmir Begovic in place to deputise.
