Robert Lewandowski’s agent has revealed that Real Madrid are keen to sign his client.

Speaking to Marca, as per Goal, Cezary Cucharsky has admitted that Los Merengues are interested in the Bayern Munich frontman, who is reportedly learning Spanish, according to the Anglophone source.

“You cannot deny that there is interest from Real Madrid,” Lewandowski’s agent began.

However, the forward himself [again Marca via Goal] denied that there have been any recent talks with Los Blancos. “There has been no contact over the past few months,” the hotshot confirmed.

Lewandowski is one of the in-form players in world football today, having scored 14 strikes in 11 Bundesliga games so far this season.

His superb scoring run in Germany has seen Bayern establish a five-point lead at the top of the German table, while the forward also broke the a record for the quickest hat-trick in Bundesliga history, and then the quickest five-goal haul in Bundesliga history, in a victory over title rivals Wolfsburg [CNN].

Goal note that Real are keen to sign a new striker before next season, and the ongoing controversy surrounding Karim Benzema [The Guardian] may sharpen their intentions of recruiting a new high-profile frontman.

However, with Pep Guardiola surely keen to bring the Champions League back to Bavaria, it would seem likely that Los Blancos will have to wait until next summer at the earliest in order to bring the world-class striker to the Bernabeu, with Bayern unlikely to part ways with their frontman in January.

Lewandowski, Poland’s captain, moved to Bayern last year from Borussia Dortmund, where he twice won the Bundesliga.

He also lifted the German title with Bayern in 2015, and was a runner-up in the 2012-13 Champions League (beaten by his future club) while with BVB.
