Liverpool to move for playmaking maestro Isco as he hands in Real Madrid transfer request

Liverpool are said to be weighing up a move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to a report in the Metro.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is set to be handed transfer funds in the January transfer market to help mould his squad to build on the good start he has enjoyed to his Anfield career.

The Reds are known admirers of the Spanish international, and have reportedly been given a huge boost in the hunt for his services after German publication Bild claimed that he has handed in a transfer request in the Spanish capital after growing unsettled.

However, they may face some serious competition for his signature from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, who have both also been heavily linked with him in the past.

The 23-year-old joined Real Madrid from Malaga in 2013 as a prodigiously talented starlet, but has struggled to make an impact and claim a regular spot in the first team for his own.

So far this season he has managed to make 16 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal.
