Isco Arsenal: Gunners now favourites to land £33.8m Golden Boy

2012 Golden Boy award winner Isco has struggled for Real Madrid in the 2015-16 season. With just one goal and a handful of assists in La Liga through a dozen appearances, the Spanish star could very well be on the market this coming winter. Arsenal are expected to bring in a versatile midfielder like Isco in the wake of their injury crisis and the latest report indicates Isco might be their guy.

According to AS [per the Metro], Arsenal are the new favourites to bring Isco into the fold in the January transfer window as Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger scrambles to find replacements for his laundry list of injured midfielders.

The Metro reported that Manchester City and Juventus are also contending for the 23-year-old starlet, but pegs Arsenal as the top contender due to their immediate need for someone to play and Isco’s need for more reps ahead of the European Championship. The transfer would reportedly cost around £33.8 million.
